Due to some new event horses and youngsters arriving on the yard this week we are now looking for a third full time groom for our event and livery yard in Oxfordshire. The position includes all normal yard duties along with grooming at some national and international events. This is not a riding position, but there will be the odd horse that will need exercising. The position would be suited to someone who is already eventing and have an ambition to achieve a goal on their own horse. You will receive help and training from an international rider with an excellent reputation for training young riders. We have a range of event horses from intro to 4*. They are a mixture of owner’s horses and our own. We compete weekly at national BE and international FEI events therefore you must have a current passport. Part of the job will also involve looking after some full and part liveries that are based with us (eventing/dressage/showjump horses). The successful applicant will work alongside two other full time grooms (both live onsite) who are committed and ambitious with their own horses and eventing. Position includes onsite permanent accommodation (no bills to pay & includes wireless internet) in a three bedroom apartment, tuition on your own horse, livery for your own horse included (shavings, haylage & feed included). All vets fees, competition entries, shoeing, contribution to diesel etc are your responsibility. Horse Help needed for 9 horse private farm. Just too many horses for me to take care of and have time for a life. I am looking for someone who is flexible, easy going, positive person who is willing to help me with farm chores as well as other tasks in running a farm. farm tasks would include feeding, mucking stalls, grooming, exercising and training a horse to drive. There is a special needs horse on the farm that requires ongoing feedings and needs to be observed and properly managed. I would want someone who is able to move with me and assist in the moving from NH to SC. In NH, I do not have room for another horse,but can provide living space. In SC, there is room for an additional horse and I could provide living space. If someone is only interested in the NH job or the SC job, I would entertain that as well. I am really looking for an assistant who is willing and interested in horses and their care. This is not a job for someone who is looking for a busy event barn, etc. It is more a retirement farm with some of the horses who are young and needing to go further in their training.
